IndiaRAP is globally supported by the International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP), a registered charity with a vision for a world free of high-risk roads. iRAP works in partnership with governments, development banks, mobility clubs, NGOs, research organisations and road safety stakeholders in more than 100 countries to make roads safer. It does this by:
- inspecting high-risk roads and developing Star Ratings, Risk Maps, Safer Roads Investment Plans and 3-star or better policy Star Ratings and Safer Roads Investment Plans
- providing training, technology and support to build and sustain national, regional and local capability
- tracking road safety performance so that funding agencies can assess the benefits of their investments
iRAP is the umbrella organisation for locally owned and led Road Assessment Programmes (RAP) in Europe, Asia Pacific, the Americas, Middle East and Africa including:
